Frequently Asked Questions

  • We’ve created our schedule so our child therapists have time to meet with your family when it works for you, which typically means after school hours. Finding a North Texas therapist who works weeknights and weekends can be difficult, which is why our therapists work 12-8 pm Monday- Friday and Sundays 11 am-8 pm.

Complimentary snacks are provided to children after school, with parental consent, as a thoughtful gesture to create a comfortable and nurturing environment during their time with us.

  • Our therapists work from an office in Grapevine, Texas, but serve the northern suburbs of Fort Worth, including Southlake, Aledo, Willow Park, Keller, Kennedale, Roanoke, Haslet, Mansfield, Godley, Colleyville, Trophy Club, and Bedford.

If you’re looking for in-person therapy near DFW with flexible hours, North Texas Adult & Child Counseling Center is your best bet!

  • Yes, while we maintain an office in Northwest Tarrant County, we can see clients across the state of Texas via our telehealth platform. Online therapy is a great option for college students and young professionals who are looking to add therapeutic support to their busy schedules.

  • Therapy sessions are most often 55 minutes. However, flexibility is sometimes needed, such as for young children or other scheduling circumstances. So, in some cases sessions can be 30 or 45 minutes. We typically see clients on a weekly basis. A short course of treatment may be 8-12 sessions but some clients prefer ongoing care at various frequencies.

  • Our office must charge a full fee even if you are late, or if you cannot keep your appointment and you do not cancel the appointment at least twenty-four hours in advance. Insurance carriers do not, ordinarily, pay for missed sessions; you must pay for those, yourself.

  • If you or any member of your family is displaying signs of illness, please cancel your session. Additionally, please be mindful of our 24-hour cancellation policy (outlined above). This policy ensures the safety and cleanliness of our office for all clients, as well as for myself. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

  • After your initial consult, your therapist will send you forms to fill out for the intake (consent, HIPAA, Release of information, etc) through your email address. Forms will be signed online/electronically through our online portal.

Before attending your first session, it is necessary to submit your insurance information and set up auto-pay (credit card details) through the Alma system, even if you intend to use other methods of payment. You will receive an email with a link inviting you to provide this information.
